Wookie Lookie

I’m not going to lie – I’m starting to get the itch for spring.  As I left work yesterday and felt the wind pick up and see the snow start to fall, I couldn’t help but dream of sandals and shorts.  But alas, I do live in Calgary so I should accept my fate of being chilly and seeing snow for a couple more months.  I’m leaving on Thursday to San Francisco with 2 girlfriends for a weekend getaway so that definitely picked up my spirits and I’ll be able to brave the cold for a few more days!

Because of the fresh snow, I decided to rock my fav furry vest today.  I actually use a hair brush on this thing to tame it, but I love it and it’s great for these chilly days.  The simple, ruched dress is a work staple and the burgundy color goes with so many pieces – no wonder the color was everywhere this winter.  I really enjoy looking for different and unique jewelry pieces as they can add so much to a simple outfit – this bird and nest necklace speaks for itself!
